U.S. Department of Commerce - Campaign to Impact Inbound Travel from UK

Overview:

USDM.net set the online strategy for the U.S. Department of Commerce, through the Office of Tourism and Travel Industries, for the department’s first Internet initiative to generate more UK tourism to the U.S. Leah Woolford led the USDM.net team that worked with the Department of Commerce to develop the online strategy, build the promotional U.S. travel portal and integrate national partners and their tourism brands. USDM.net planned and executed the search engine marketing (organic and paid) and optimization, developed the online media advertising plan and executed the plan. The results surpassed those that the government expected.

Goal:

  • Increase U.S. branding and inbound visitors to the U.S. from United Kingdom
  • Goal of 1 million web site visitors during the 4 month campaign

Results:

  • 53.2 million USA brand impressions in the UK
  • 2.2 Million unique visitors to the web site
  • 43,336 UK Opt Ins for remarketing
